All volunteers receive a free official race T-shirt, beverage, and sandwich.
Course Marshals: Marshals are essential for course safety and help guide racers around the course by being in place at key intersections and positions along each race course. Marshals also help answer questions from residents about road closures, detours, and events. This is a perfect opportunity for teams, clubs, scouts, and anyone else who wants to help out.
Course Set-Up Crew: One of the keys to starting the day on schedule is to have an efficient staging crew. These volunteers are out early to set-up finish line barriers, various tents, neutral water stations, and fine tune the hay placement. They also help set out info signs for racers and spectators. This is a very short shift (3 hours) but is one of the most important.
Tear Down and Transfer Team: This important team is in charge of breaking down the race staging, and shifting the infrastructure to the next day's course. The more that this crew is able to do, the easier it is for the set-up crew the next morning. This is also a fairly short shift (~ 4 hours).
Food Distribution: These volunteers help pass out food and water to other volunteers, officials, police, and support staff around the course. We don't keep volunteers very long if we don't feed them!
Drivers: These volunteers will drive official vehicles in the race caravan as well as help relocate team vehicles.
Registration Personnel: These volunteers will facilitate racers picking up their race numbers and packets.
